On the afternoon of March 11th, all the teachers of the mathematics group of the Primary Section held a teaching and research meeting in the teaching and research office. Teacher Wu Fei, the the head of the math teaching and research group, gave a micro lecture entitled ‘Learn to Appreciate and Make Your Class More Powerful’.
Specifically, Wu Fei began with ‘While it's important what the teachers say, it's a thousand times more significant that teachers know what the students think about!’ Focusing on the importance of learning to listen, learn to appreciate and be good at finding students’ ‘bright spots’, Wu Fei exchanged his personal experience through three classroom teaching cases of ‘a few stops ahead’, ‘magic clever calculation’ and ‘see and listen to calculate in lower grades’. Moreover, Wu Fei believes that understanding students, trusting students, appreciating students and encouraging students can help them develop their strengths and circumvent weaknesses, overcome self-abasement and make every student develop, which is not only the highest purpose and core concept of the new round of curriculum reform, but also the moral style that contemporary teachers should have to keep pace with the times. Therefore, he asked all the mathematics teachers to try to be conscientious in teaching.
